slenderman113: a shipment of CD's came in it cost 90.49 including 13% tax. the CD's cost 11.14 each how many CD's were in the shipment
I think that you are telling me that $90.49 includes the tax but $11.14 does not include the tax. Does that sound correct?
I think that this is the easiest way to do it but not the only way.
If the CDs cost $11.40 each you need to work out how much they will cost after adding on the 13% tax. I'll call this total unit cost.
Then it is just $90.49 divided by your total unit cost.
The answer will not be an exact number of dollars and cents. You can round it off.
