how do i do this g-2<-8

Hi nicoler!

I suggest you add 2 both to the left of the inequality and to the right.
Then you get:
g < -6.

the equation is called an equation because both side are equal to one the other.

so g-2 = -8 to solve for g you must add a positive 2 to each side of the equation

therefore g -2 +2= -8 + 2

g = -8 + 2 the -2 plus the +2 cancels each other

g = -6
