lcn1358: how do you work the problem 2 times the square root of (7x+4)-1=9
More brackets would have been nice because I am not sure what the question is. I will answer 1 possibility.
[2*sqrt (7x+4)] -2 = 9
2*sqrt (7x+4) = 11
sqrt (7x+4) = 5.5
7x+4 = 5.5
2 7x+4 = 30.25
etc.
