First check that both sides are independantly simplified. You want the denominators to be as small as possible. Then

The easiest way to start a question like this is to multiply everything on both sides by the lowest common denominator.
In this case the LCD is 35.

Once you have done that there will be no fractions so it should be easy.

Have a go at it and get back if you have problems.

50/35(-35x)/35=14/35-70x/35
Implies: (35x)+(-70x)/35 =(-35/35)=(-x)
Then: (-14)/35+50/35=36/35
Therefore: Solution is x=-36/35 ???

Is my solution correct?

Thank you!

Do PEMDAS.
(P)arenthesis, (E)xponents, (M)ultiplication, (D)ivision, (A)ddition, (S)ubtraction.

Parenthesis:
5(x+2)/7-x = 4(3-2x)/5-2

No exponents.

Multiplication:
5x+10/7-x = 12- 8x/5-2

Division:
5x+ 10/7-x = 12 - 8/5x -2

Addition:
5x + 10/7 -x = 10 - 8/5x

No Subtraction. Now combine Like terms.

5x- 8/5x - x = 10 - 10/7

12/5x = 60/7

x = 5/12 * 60/7
x = 25/7

Hi Anony,
And thank you for your lovely manners. People answering questions always appriciate that.

Hi Alexandra,
Thank you for helping. I am serious, I really appreciate it.
I am not sure where you went wrong. If you can't find your error I will take a look for you.

This is the answer if you do it my way. Perhaps this is not the question that you had in mind but it is the one you asked for.
I also got the answer from the site calculator just to double check that my answer is correct. and it is.
