You try to divide by the same number. For example, if I want to simplify 6/8. First try dividing both of them by 2. So, 6/2=3. Do the same thing with 8/2=4. So now we put the numbers as they were, one over the other like this:3/4. So, I simplified 6/8 to 3/4. And that is as far as you can go.
