The volume of the cube is  9.5 x 9.5 x 9.5  cu. in.

Find this value and subtact the volume of the ball.

The volume of the cube would be 9.5*9.5*9.5 as stated below. Then, subtract the value of the ball (Sphere) inside, using the formula V=4/3(pi)r^3.

Hope this helped!

What about the air inside the ball? Technically that air is within the cube too.

The question should've stated that it was a solid ball.  wink
