Serafina is solving a number puzzle that involves three integers,e, f, and g, where e is negative. The product of e and f is −15. The product of e and g is 6. The product of f and g is −10. What are the values of e,f and g?

ef = -15

eg = 6

fg = -10

We can multiply everything together. :))

ef*eg*gf = 900

efg = 30 (square root both sides)

To solve for g:

efg/ef = g

30/-15 = g

g = -2.

To solve for f:

efg/eg = f

30/6 = f

f = 5

Can you solve for e?

Good luck. :)))

ef = -15      e is negative

eg = 6         g is negative too

fg = -10        f is positive

f = -15/e

g = 6/e

fg then becomes   -15/e  * 6/e = -10         -90/e^2 = -10

                                                                   e^2 = 9     take the negative root (e is negative) = e = - 3

ef = -15      then f = 5

5 (g) = -10     g = -2
