365....to count the stars that are VISIBLE stars to you at your observer location.....there are MORE visible stars, but you would have to be in a different hemisphere (above or below the Equator) to see all of them
every night as the earth rotates around the sun you will see additional new stars as some of the ones you saw previous become no longer visible....
