Two similar cones have heights of 3 feet and 12 feet. The volume of the small cone is 21 cubic inches.  What is the volume of the larger cone? and What is the ratio of their volumes?

The scale factor of the large cone to the smaller  is  12/3  = 4

The volume of the larger cone   =

(Volume of smaller cone) * (scale factor)^3  =

21  * (4)^3  =

21 * 64  =

1344 in^2
