If you need to find the square root of a number, you can simply type:
sqrt(
with your number or equation after the parentheses, preferably followed by a closed parentheses.
There's also a button for it! It looks like the squiggly lightning bolt with a straight line over it. There's also cube roots, which are by 3, so be careful not to confuse the two.
