y = x^2 -3x + 7

y = 3x - 2

Set the y's equal

x^2 - 3x + 7 =  3x - 2        add2, subtract 3x from both sides

x^2 - 6x + 9 = 0         factor

(x - 3)^2 = 0        take the square root

x - 3 = 0        add 3 to both sides

x = 3

Put this into either function to find the y coordinate......3(3) - 2 = 9 - 2 = 7
