Well first you're going to want to handle the expression in those parentheses. You could leave it as is and have it as an improper fraction, you could divide it so it's a decimal, or you can turn it into a proper fraction. I'm going to do the second.

49/4 = 12.25
12.25 + 8 = 20.25

20.25 is the answer. If you wish to turn it into a fraction, follow this guide.
