Absolute Value is a number with no negatives or positives. An example:

What is the Absolute Value?

1. -6

The absolute value would be 6 because 6 has no negatives or positives.

It could also be considered as an Oposite. Which might be helpful to look up.

Absolute value is just the value of the number, without paying any attention to its sign, whether it's + or-. So, the absolute value of -5 is just 5, period.

It just represents the distance on the number line between a number and 0.......for example.......

l -6 l   = 6 because -6 is 6 units from 0

and

l 4 l  = 4 because 4 is 4 units from 0

cool cool cool
