a 3 inch by 5 inch index card is cut along its diagonal to form 2 triangles what is the area of each triangle in square inches
Well , this is relatively simple....the original area of th index card was 3 x 5 = 15 sq inches. If you cut it into two triangles, each will be 1/2 of that..... or 7.5 sq inches.
