The question was

The shaded region of the strip diagram represents the number of students that
get more than 9 hours of sleep each night.  Of the students surveyed, 45 get less
than 9 hours of sleep each night.  How many students were surveyed?

2 out 5 is shaded (I hate posting pictures)

Don't worry, I'm so bad with tech too.

My friends always have to teach me by sending screenshots with arrows drawn on where to click.

*I'm gonna start by assuming that no students got exactly 9 hours of sleep that night

So 2/5 of the students get more than 9 hours of sleep each night.

That would mean that 3/5 of the students got less than 9 hours of sleep each night.

If 3/5 of the students is 45, what's the total amount of students?

3/5x = 45

x = 45*5/3 = 75.

So our answer is 75. :))

I hope this helped.
