I assume you have a cone with a volume of 168 cubic units and a diameter of 8 units.....and you want to find the height, h.....if so.....we have....

V_cone = [ pi * r^2 * h ] / 3 note that the diameter is 8 so the radius is 4 and we have

168 = [ pi * (4)^2 * h ] / 3 multiply both sides by 3

504 = [ pi * 16 * h ] divide both sides by 16pi

504 / [ 16 pi ] = h = about 10.027 units
