Use commputation with scientif notation to solve the following problems. 

 

1. A gram of hydrogen contains 6 x 10^18 protons. How many Protons are in 500 grams of hydrogen ?

500 x 6 x 10^18   =   3000 x 10^18  =  3 x 10^21

 6 x 10^18 X 500=3.0 X 10^21 protons. By the way, 1 mole of Hydrogen contains 6 X 10^23 protons or atoms(That's Avogadro's Number). Whoever gave you that number, it's incorrect. You can check here:
