tan^-1(5/7)



Inverse tan is the same as arctan

tan -1(5/7) can be written atan(5/7)

You use inverse tan when it is the angle that you are finding. You would use tan if you had the angle and needed to find a side.

atan(5/7)

If you were doing this on most hand held calculators you could press the 'degrees minutes seconds' button to convert it to that form.
