Maths is a way to count originally, but for convenience, the counting evolves into addition and subtraction just because people wants to calculate faster, and the multiplication and division appears to make calculations even faster. Then people start to think about geometry, complex numbers, and exponentiations and logarithms, and finally calculus. So maths became like this nowadays.....

 

People who invent maths just wants to count. #DontBlameThem.
