If I have the angle sec theta < 0 , what are the locations for the terminal side of each angle ? 

A. Quadrant I 

B. Quadrant II

C. Quadrant II

D. Quadrant IV

E. Quadrantal Angle

 

I have that the locations are Quarant II, Quadrant III, and Quadrantal Angle.

Quadrants 2 and 3 is right.

ok I looked up quadrantal angle - it is just one that is not specifically in any quadrant ie 90k degress where k is an integer.

 

\(sec\; \theta < 0\\ \frac{1}{cos\;\theta}\;<0\\ cos\theta <0\\ \text{This is true when }\\\theta\;\; \text{is in the second or third quad }\\\text{and when }\theta=\pm180k\;\;degrees \;\;k\in Z\)
