15km x 1 mile/.621 km  = 9.315 mi

1L = .264 gallons

So  9.315mi / .264 gal =  35.28 mi/gal

1 mile=1.609344 Kilometers. Therefore 15Km/1.609344=9.320568 miles.

1 imperial(British) galon=4.54609 liters, or 1 liter=1/4.54609=.219969 imperial gallons

Therefore 9.320568miles/.219969imp.gallons=42.372141 miles per Imp. gallon. Which is your answer!.

NOTE TO CPHILL:IN CANADA THEY USE THE IMPERIAL(BRITISH) GALLON.
