The graph of a sine function has an amplitude of 2, a midline of y = 10, and a period of 4.
There is no phase shift. The graph is reflected over the x-axis.
What is the equation of the function?
a) f(x)=−4sin(2x)+2
b) f(x)=−2sin(πx/2)+10 (my answer)
c) f(x)=−2sin(πx/2)+2
d) f(x)=−2sin(2πx)+10 (maybe it's this one)
None of them are correct
If this is reflected over the x axis, then an original point of (a, b) is translated to (a , -b)
The correct answer is
y = -2sin (pi * x/ 2) - 10

BTW.....answer (b) is almost correct.....however...it reflects the function over the midline of 10 rather than over the x axis
