I need to transpose a song from a (440) to 432. Wouldn't I decrease the speed by of the track by (440 decided by 444 minus 1)%? I'd like to use speed rather than pitch to preserve quality. Thanks!

I have absolutely no idea but I did find this webpage. Good luck with this.

I put your question up on another forum and this was the response:

Hey Melody2.
Are you trying to increase the pitch of something without changing the speed or trying to change both the pitch and the speed?
If you are doing the above, then something like Audacity should be able to do this for if its for a sound file.

If you want to check out any other responses I will give you the the web address
or if you prefer I will continue to be a go between.
