One problem here is that the exponent on the left side (.5) doesn't equal the exponent on the right side (.5 x10) = 5

As Alan has said, the first thing gives you ≈ 659.5

But, 400e5  ≈ 59365.26  !!!

According to the calculator here:

$${\mathtt{400}}{\mathtt{\,\times\,}}{{\mathtt{e}}}^{{\mathtt{0.5}}} = {\mathtt{659.488\: \!508\: \!280\: \!051\: \!28}}$$

or approximately  659.5
