The original room was 40 feet long and 12 feet wide. After construction, the dimensions of the room were double their original size. What was the percent of increase of the area of the rooms?

+14 40×12 ( lenght × width) =480×2 (double the size)=960
not sure on percentage. Maybe 20 percent since its×2?
