What is the value of 3/4y + 3/7x when x = 2 and y = 4 ?

(3/4)(4) + (3/7)(2)  =

12/4  + 6/7 =

3 + 6/7    =     27 / 7

what is the value of X that makes the given equation true?

4x - 16 = 6(3 + x)  simplify

4x - 16 = 18 + 6x    subtract 4x, 18 from each side

-34 = 2x     divide both sides by 2

-17  = x
