If the arc length is 244 degrees and you want to know the measure of the angle ABC, you would have to know the RADIUS or the DIAMETER of the circle.

If the arc of ABC is 244 degrees, what is the number of degrees in the measure of ABC?  

Since the arc is 244^o then the moving arm of the angle has swung past 180^o and continued for an additional 64^o 

If instead of 64^o it had continued for an additional 180^o it would have ended up where it started, i.e., 360^o 

So the final angle is 180^o – 64^o = 116^o 

If the arc of ABC is 244 degrees, what is the number of degrees in the measure of ABC? 

Angle   ABC = 360° - 244° = 116°
