We first need to find the measure of minor arc FB....this is given by :
m arc FB = 360 - 100 - 154 - 40 = 66°
So...the measure of AED = (1/2) ( m arc FB + m arc AD) = (1/2) ( 66 + 40) = (1/2)(106) = 53°
