 Need help with Logarithmic Applications

I'm having trouble with a word problem. I thought I figured most of it until I got to the last part. How did they calculate the answer to 1171.06 and then rounding it off to 1171. Can someone please help explain the steps. I've uploaded a picture of the equation. Thanks all.

325*ln (2t + e)     and we're sustituting 17 for "t"......so we have

325*ln (2*17 + e) =

325* ln (34 + e)        note, 34 + e = 36.7182818284590452.....so....

325* ln (36.7182818284590452)  and  ln (36.7182818284590452) = 3.603274773493579695 .......so.....

325 * 3.603274773493579695 = 1171.064301385413400875 = 1171

How did you get 34+e = 36.7182818284590452? I mean how do you calculate it. I think I'm pressing something wrong because I keep getting Math error on it.

I don't know what kind of calculator you're using, but many have an ex key. If so, just type in "1" and hit that key.......you should see 2.718......then add that to 34 and take the ln of the result....
