x^2 + 6x + 5 = 0... how would i solve for this????Solve the trinomial by factoring or quadratic formula:
x^2 + 5x + 6 = 0 factor as
(x + 3) ( x + 2) = 0
So either
x + 3 = 0 and x = -3 or x + 2 = 0 and x = -2
x^2 + 6x + 5 = 0... how would i solve for this?
Chris, you swapped places with the 6 and the 5.
X2 + 6X + 5 = 0
This factors to (X+5)(X+1)
So X = –5 and X = –1
