[(x - 3)/(x + 7)] / [(x + 1) /(x + 7) ]= invert the second fraction and multiply
[(x - 3) / (x + 7) ] * [ (x + 7) / (x + 1)] = "swap" denominators
[(x - 3) / (x + 1)] * [(x + 7) /(x + 7) ] =
(x -3) / (x + 1)
