An oil tank has to be drained for maintenance. The tank is shaped like a cylinder that is 4 ft long with a diameter of 2.2 ft. Suppose oil is drained at arate of 1.5 per minute. If the tank starts completely full, how many minutes will it take to empty the tank?
Use the value 3.14 for, and round your answer to the nearest minute. Do not round any intermediate computations.

Suppose oil is drained at arate of 1.5 per minute.       1.5 WHAT per minute?   Gallons?   ft3 ?

Asuming  ft^3 per minute drain rate

volume = pi r^2 h =   pi ( 1.1)^2 (4) = 4.84 pi   ft3

4.84 pi   ft3  / 1.5 ft3 /min   = ~~ 10 minutes       as SW calc'd !   ( an explanation would have been good)

1.1^2x3.14x4/1.5=15.1976/1.5 ≈ $\boxed{10}$
