Let a * b = a + sqrt(b + sqrt(b + sqrt(b + ...))).  If 7 * g = 19, find the value of g.

Not sure how the first part is relevant.

7 * g = 19

g = 19/7

I think the first part is meant to define the operation *, so it would be:

\(7+\sqrt{g+\sqrt{g+\sqrt{g+...}}} = 19\\ \sqrt{g+\sqrt{g+\sqrt{g+...}}}=12\\ \sqrt{g+12}=12\\ g+12=144\\ g=132\)
