Suppose that we have an equation y = ax^2 + bx + c whose graph is a parabola with vertex (3,4), vertical axis of symmetry, and contains the point (1,0).  What is (a,b,c)?

Vertex form of parabola

y =  a (x-3)^2 +4   sub in point to find  a = -1

y = -(x-3)^2 + 4

  = -x^2 +6x-9 + 4

y = -x^2 + 6x - 5             you can finish from here......
