In an office, 50 individuals have brown hair, 24 have blond hair, 5 have red hair, and 17 have black hair. What percentage of people in the office have blond hair? Would I just divide the total by 24?

24 blond /( 50+24+5+17) people   x 100% = ......... % with blond hair

Total people in the  office =  50 + 24 + 5 + 17 =  96

24 / 96   =    1/4   =  25%  have blond hair

My answer:

first add up all of the individiuals who has [color] hair.

50+24+5+17=96

and they're asking how many people have blond hair and that is 24

24/96=0.25=25%
