A mixture of mud is created with 14% dirt and the rest water. In the morning, half of the water left the mixture because of evaporation. What fraction of the soil is now dirt?

My steps so far:

Let's say the mixture is 100%. 14% is dirt and 86% is water. After half of the water evaporates, we divide to get 86/2=43. We add 14+43=57. Thus the fraction of dirt is 14/57.

Am I right, or am I going wrong.

But 14/57 =~24% dirt + 43%water =67% mixture, not 100% ??

The 50% of 86%, or 43%,  of water that evaporated simply turned into dirt! So, 14% dirt + 43% dirt(from water evaporation) =57%dirt + 43% of remaining water =100% mixture ! So, I would say that 57% of the mixture is now dirt. Remember that if 100% of the water evaporated, then the mixture would simply be 100% dirt.
