On perimeter of polygons. There's a triangle problem that I don't understand. Left side says 8 and 5 16th. Right side is the same measurement s of the left side 8 and 5 16th. The bottom is 3 and 3 8th. I need to understand what this is?

So I assume you want to find the perimeter of a trianle with sides two sides of (8+5/16) and one side of (3 + 3/8) ??

Let's just add the fractions, first...we'll go back and "tack on" the whole numbers at the end...this makes it easier !!

So   .        (5/16) + (5/16) + (3/8) =  (5/16) + (5/16) + (6/16) = 16/16 = 1

So..... 1 + 8 + 8 + 3 = 20     .....pretty easy, huh??

And that's the perimeter...
