Perpendicular lines

Heya,

How do I figure out if two lines are perpendicular? I'm guessing I need to use (y2 - y1)/(x2-x1)?

slope of the other line has to be the OPPOSITE RECIPRICLE; in other words, the slope is "upside down and opposite sign" if yes than you dont need the y intercept, it is perpendicular
