How do I input the PeRT formula? I should get more than my original number but I'm getting drastically less. Can someone help?

use the "e" button as e in this case is a number. The carrot between the e and ( is shift+6.
Make sure your rate of x% is typed 0.0x
make sure that your time is in the appropriate units, so if your rate is 8% annually then t should be in years
