Use the following to solve your problem:

V²=U²+2AS,

WHERE V=FINAL VELOCITY

U=INITIAL VELOCITY

A=ACCELERATION

S=DISTANCE OF ACCELERATION

Hint: Fial velocity=0, solve for S. A is negative in this case.
