A.  the particle's position is given by the equations in the question....without a time , we cannot tell the particle's position.   At t= o it is at 0,6

original velocity     vx =  1.3 m/s     vy = -3 m/s

       Magnitude of this velocity is sqrt (1.3^2 +(-3)^2))  = 3.27 m/s

acceleration    ax = -0.3 m/sec^2    ay= 1.3 m/sec^2     Magnitude = 1.334 m/sec^2

B.  The x velocity is given by 1.3 -.3t

      the y  velocity is given by  -3 +1.3t       set these equal to each other

1.3-.3t = -3+1.3t   solve for t

4.3 = 1.6t      t= 2.69 seconds    when vx and vy are equal
