In physics, if i throw a ball straight up, and it takes 0.01 seconds and starts off the ground 1 m and i need to find the vi, whats the xf? the formula xf=xi+vit+1/2gt^2

xi=1

vi=trying to find

t=0.01

g= 10

so what is the Xi so I can find the Vi?

xf=xi+vit+1/2gt^2   put in the values you are given

xf = 1  +   vi t + 1/2 g t^2       ( I think that should be  MINUS 1/2 gt^2)

     anyway   xi is initial position = 1 m    (given)

I am a bit confused as to what you ae looking for?    You ask for xi    and then vi   and then xf    and you have a t = .01   (what is that?)
