An archer shoots an arrow at 63.2 m/s at a 42.0 degree angle. If the ground is flat, how far away does it land?

 

The horizontal displacement is given by     v0^2 * sin (2* θ) / g      where v0 = 63.2 m/s , θ  = 42° and g = 9.8 m/s

 

So we have

 

[63.2]^2 * sin (2 * 42°) / 9.8  =

 

405.3 m
