If you are using physics formulas then use

s=ut+1/2×at^2

Horizontal velocity is irrelevant.

vertical velocity is 0

Vertical accel= -9.8

Vertical Velocity=-9.8t

Vertical disp=-9.8/2  t^2

When t=2.5

Vert dis = -4.9×2.5^2

Height=4.9×6.25 metres
