Sorry guest but that is not quite correct.
Pi is an irrational number. That means that it cannot be written exactly as a decimal or as a percent.
Even if you wrote it as a decimal and gave it 10000 decimal places it would still not be exact.
It can't be written as a repeating decimal either
so
22/7 is a good approximation of pi but it is not exact!
From the calculator (which is more accurate than 22/7) pi = 3.1415926.......
As a decimal 22/7 = 3.142857142857 ( the 142757 keeps repeating)
You should be able to see that the 22/7 decimal equivalent is only correct to 2 decimal places
