I am having trouble coming up with the answer my instructor has said it should be. I can't think of a way to get the answer he has.
The problem is exactly f(4)= -sqr(x) +1
The answer he gives is 3.
I keep getting either -1 or -3 depending on how I solve it.

For the function: f(x)=-sqrt(x)+1
Solve for f(4)

f(4)=-sqrt(4)+1
=-(2)+1 or -(-2)+1
=-1 or 3

Therefore, f(4) is equal to -1 or 3.
