At this instant, the angles of elevation of the planes from a point on the ground are 30 degrees and 60 degrees. Find the distance between the two planes at that instant.

Tan 60 = opp/ adj = 3150/d d= 1818.65

tan 30 = opp/ adj = height / 1818.65 Height of second plane = 1050 meters

now you can find the distance between the two planes because you have both of their altitudes.....
