Please explain why the result is positive. -12x+2=0 => (1/6) => 0,166 There is accordance between my graph and the result that the "calculator" gives, but when I solve it myself, it gives x = -0,166 Some unknown rule with division?
-12x+2=0 subtract 2 from both sides
-12x = -2 divide both sides by -12
x = -2 / - 12 = 1 / 6 [ negative / negative = postiive ]
