I'm having a hard time with even and odd functions:
Let e(x) and o(x) be even and odd functions, respectively, such that
e(x) + o(x) = f(x)
e(x) + x^2 = o(x)
Find f(2).
x2 is an even function.
I don't understand the last part of the problem: e(x) + x2 = o(x)
I don't understand how two even functions can be added together to get an odd function.
