Is it possible for two different inputs to give you the same output? Please give an explanation.😄

yes

\(y=x^2\)

input x=2  output is 4

input x=-2 output is 4

Two different inputs give the same output.

Another example:  y(x) = sin(x)

y(pi/2) = 1

y(5pi/2) = 1

... etc.

Even more extreme: y(x) = constant

Any input gives the same output!
